    THE CAMP IS TAUGHT BY KEVIN AND KEITH HANSON, HANSONS -BROOKS DISTANCE PROJECT MEMBERS and coaching staff.

    Who & When:

    HIGH SCHOOL: July 29 - August 1, 2024

    TIME: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    Where:

    Riverbends Park in Shelby Township, located between 22 and 23 Mile Road East of Ryan Road, at the Woodall Pavilion.

    What:

    A LOW INTENSITY INSTRUCTIONAL CAMP DESIGNED TO TEACH TRAINING PRINCIPALS, RUNNING MINDSET AND RACE STRATEGIES. ALTHOUGH PACE IS UNIMPORTANT, BEGINNING RUNNERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN 3 MILES TO ATTEND CAMP. GROUPS WILL BE SEPARATED BY ABILITY AND FITNESS LEVEL. FOUR DAY MILEAGE WILL VARY FROM 12 TO 32 MILES.

    Fee:

    CAMP INCLUDES: INSTRUCTION, T-SHIRT, CAMP AWARDS, AND DAILY REFRESHMENTS. FEE $85.00 UNTIL JULY 13TH AND THEN $100.00 FROM JULY 14 – AUGUST 8TH. MAY REGISTER IN PERSON AT THE CAMP FOR $100.00. IN ADDITION, ALL CAMPERS WILL GET FREE ENTRY INTO FRIDAY EVENING RACE ON AUGUST 2. REGISTER IN PERSON AT ANY ONE OF THE 4 STORE LOCATIONS UNTIL JULY 26th.

    Training:

    Groups will be separated by ability and fitness level, five day mileage will vary from 15 to 40 miles
